“Being a CEO can be very lonely and LifeScience ORG provides a large community of other CEOs who are on that same journey and going through the same challenges. It is a safe space where CEOs can ask all the difficult questions in a confidential and trusted setting and get all the answers from the speakers and other members in the community. The speakers are either all well-known life science leaders or thought leaders from the leading business schools and the exchange of insights and experiences during the discussions is really best-in-class. The largely virtual format also fits perfectly into my crowded CEO agenda. LifeScience ORG really is quite unique as such.”

Miquel Vila-Perelló
CEO Splice Bio (Barcelona, Spain)
“I value LifeScience ORG because it provides a forum to connect with other CEOs facing challenges similar to mine, in a highly collaborative, open, and supportive environment. What makes it unique compared to other networks is its strong focus on professional development among peers who share very similar responsibilities. Everyone participates with a genuine willingness both to learn and to contribute to the community.
One of the aspects I appreciate most is how it facilitates meaningful connections within the biotech CEO community. Access to meeting spaces during key healthcare conferences is extremely valuable, not only for helping smaller companies participate effectively in these events, but also for enabling in-person interactions with other members.
Being part of the network has helped me grow as a leader and approach challenges better equipped with new perspectives and tools to contribute to the success of our company.”

Ken Macnamara
CEO Trogenix (Edinburgh, UK)
"The LifeScience ORG is a unique network—a safe space for CEOs to discuss the full spectrum of challenges and opportunities in small, confidential group settings.
The content is carefully considered, highly relevant, and delivered by contributing thought leaders who are well prepared and insightful. The open discussion of both successes and setbacks has been refreshingly honest and detailed—quite the contrast to the bland fireside chats we often encounter at conferences.
By leveraging the collective insights of the CEO community—learning from the wins and avoiding the mistakes—we all become better: better at driving value in our businesses and better at delivering value to patients."

“I have been connected with the Life Science org CEO community now for almost three years and have enormously appreciated the opportunity to have candid and insightful discussions with other Biotech leaders on a wide range of topics. Nikolai and his colleagues have built a culture where outstanding leaders, with international standing, generously share insights and ideas about further optimising organisations, making high quality decisions and getting ahead of the game when thinking about where the major challenges will arise. I have enjoyed all the interactions and learned a great deal from being part of this unique group and format.”
-
Jack O’Meara
CEO Aerska (Dublin, IR)
“I like the LifeScience ORG CEO community because it is a place where I can easily connect with CEOs outside my own ecosystem. It also offers me an opportunity to learn from world class thought leaders about topics that really matter when you are building a venture.
It is unique in that it is a totally safe space, no one is trying to sell you anything, everyone just wants to help one another.
As a CEO it has been very helpful to connect with experienced life science leaders who have been on this journey before me. Their program also nudges me to regularly reflect on how I am (or should be) addressing different leadership challenges – something all of us should do more of.”
-
Sebastien Iva
CEO Fab’entech (Lyon, FR)
“I am excited to be a member of the LifeScience ORG CEO community. The quality of speakers is exceptional and the topics always meaningful across all challenges a life science CEO is facing: fundraising, managing the growth, recruiting, motivating, communicating…
In addition, this community has helped me to access seasoned CEOs with hands-on experience who could share their experiences and key learnings. This is very valuable, especially for the fundraising activity. Whilst I often find myself too busy to attend the live sessions, the community’s online platform provides access to more than 2 years of recorded meetings and shared resources. Hence, members can still benefit from all the learnings shared during the live discussions.
This community is a huge accelerator for first-time CEOs or new entrepreneurs by getting connected and leveraging the experience of others.”
-
Tom Weaver
CEO Elijo Therapeutics (Cambridge, UK)
“I joined LifeScience ORG several years ago, and I have found it to be an excellent forum for CEOs like me to better understand and influence my journey in founding, managing, growing and exiting life science companies.
My passion over the last 30+ years in the UK has been working on genetic technologies to make a difference in improving human and animal health. I believe that a big part of any success I have enjoyed has come through effective networking with creative, dedicated, and experienced scientists and entrepreneurs. This aspect is probably the biggest reason I support LifeScience Org, it has provided a super useful (and easy) forum to meet like-minded individuals across Europe and share/learn from their experiences.
A unique aspect of LifeScience ORG is that the network is composed exclusively CEOs in life science companies. The CEOs are often founders as well, leading companies at a similar stage of growth as the companies I have been involved in, or anticipate being involved in the future. This makes for very focused, open, and fruitful discussions with CEOs in the network who “opt in” to specific topics via zoom. I also value the “CEO Clinic” where very experienced CEOs contribute their thoughts and experiences on topics that are usually timely and relevant to my journey.
As founders we experience many of the same challenges, from first financing through to an exit, building and managing a board, strategic partnering, to motivating teams and managing change, etc…. How we respond to these challenges though can be via a myriad of different ways, and since there is no single solution, I find it very useful to hear from the experiences of other CEOs in the LifeScienceOrg network, as well lessons from the experts brought in from outside the network for specific topics.”
-
Robert Johnson
CEO Kesmalea Therapeutics (Cambridge, GB)
“I like LifeScience ORG CEO community because it is a great source of valuable content and advice which makes me more effective in my role. It is also an instant network – I have requested an introduction to other CEOs for very specific reasons and Nikolai immediately connected us. The other CEOs were very generous in their time and advice and I quickly got the information I needed. This saved me a LOT of time and provided some unique insights!
It is unique … I do not know another group that offers the same service. I also love the ambition: Nikolai is always listening, taking feedback and improving.
As a life science CEO it helps me learn new skills and concepts, listen to case studies and connect with the European CEO community. Nikolai and Patricia do a wonderful job – I’d strongly recommend you sign up!!”
